Summary:
Performs all operations necessary in the diagnosis and/or repair of Power Supply equipment
Responsibilities:

- Troubleshoots, diagnoses, repairs, and aligns basic AC supplies and basic stand-by power supply equipment to specifications including: a) Select equipment to work on prioritized by due date and service requested. b) Inspects equipment to confirm customer complaint, diagnose symptoms and identify causes; c) Fixes repair by replacing faulty components, known high failure components, aligning miss-aligned sections, and calibrating to proper specifications; d) Checks and tests equipment thoroughly and confirms proper operation to OEM specifications
Completes appropriate paperwork concerning estimates, no problem found, awaiting parts, technical
questions or other situations requiring customer contact and forwards.
- Accurately completes travelers to include all parts and labor used and pricing where applicable. Includes
information regarding observed problems, their causes and any customer special requests.
- Proficiently uses hand tools, soldering techniques, and various basic test equipment.
- Assists in maintaining on-hand parts and information.
- Provides information to sales personnel pertaining to current status of customer's equipment when requested.
- Identifies and completes repairs for Power Supply Equipment by performing several basic functions. This includes replacement of equipment defective parts, replacing hardware, and relabeling. Replaces parts or performs functions according to existing standard procedures. Secures all necessary parts to be installed while repairing Inverter modules, and equipment chassis. Maintains an organized and clean work area at all times.
- Reports and documents time worked accurately.
- Follows prescribed static protection program at all times.
- Communicates effectively and works closely with fellow associates.
- Arrives to work station promptly and works overtime as required.
- Performs other duties requested.

Skills:
Mathematics Ability:
Level 2-Basic Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Language Skills:
Level 3-Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Reasoning Ability:
Level 2-Basic Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
