Spherion Staffing has an opportunity for an Engineering Department Manager. This position will supervise an 8-9 person Engineering department which is responsible for producing structural steel, misc metals and rebar fabrication shop drawings. Currently using SDS2, RebarCAD, and AutoCAD software.
Salary $80-90k/year DOE
Responsibilities:

-Monitor all jobs and workflow through the department to meet customer's needs
-Work with Subcontracted detailers to handle overflow work
-Communicate with customers and production department
-Review and interpret contract drawings and specifications as well as shop drawings
Working hours: Various Shifts Available
Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred
Proficiency in SDS2 or Tekla, AutoCAD and Bluebeam software is preferred
Education:
Associate
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
-Minimum of Associates degree in Drafting/Estimating
-Expertise in reading contract drawings and specifications. Specifically structural, architectural, mechanical and civil drawings/specifications
-Managerial experience in steel fabrication a plus
-Must be detail orientated, accurate, and thorough
