Management of packaging related projects, packaging related standards and development of product packaging processes. The packaging Engineer will be directly involved in internal and customer driven changes to primary packaging, secondary packaging and pallet design/development to ensure cost effectiveness, package integrity, product quality and conformance to customer/internal standards.Responsibilities:Working knowledge of plastic bottle, flexible packaging, aseptic packaging, corrugate case, carton, shrink labeling, pressure sensitive labeling and pallet design and use in food and beverage manufacturing.Development of primary and secondary packaging for food and beverage products using current industry standards related to quality assurance and food safety.Audit, improve and/or develop a standardized packaging specification system which can be utilized to provide details to suppliers, customers and operations.Creation of documentation of quality control procedures for all in-bound components to identify and isolate out of spec components from entering our production stream.Management of pallet pattern development, testing and validation for automated palletizer systems.Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMSkills:Working knowledge of data analysis and statistical test procedures.Management of project related to packaging and packaging materials.Experience with high speed manufacturing processes related to food and beverage production.Experience with Microsoft, Adobe and TOPPS.Analytical thinking, problem solving skills and attention to detail.Proven experience in major package design from concept to commercialization with Food Service and Retail packaging.Education:BachelorsExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:Education and/or Experience:Bachelors Degree in Packaging Engineering or related course study.Minimum 3 years experience (5 + years preferred) in packaging development, design, and manufacturing The compensation program is designed to attract, motivate, and retain the very best people.
