FLAVORING OPERATOR (Agglomeration) Job Summary: Training to be able to tend to fluid beds during the flavoring process of food ingredient powders.Responsibilities:Basic mechanical aptitude by using machine specific tools.Ability to work safely when learning the equipment and surroundingsProperly lock out and tag out equipment.Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and how to keep the product safeAssist coworkers in loading product and packaging final product; able to assist in packaging line with boxes, bags or totes.Learn how to tear down equipment for cleaningLearning how to assemble the equipmentSetting flow rates and starting equipmentKeeping up with equipment and product when running.Working hours: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PMSkills:Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Able to write simple correspondence. Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Able to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Able to apply common sense understanding, to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Able to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.Basic Computer Skills.Education:High SchoolExperience:0-1 yearsQualifications:Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Able to: Collect and research data. Frequently required to walk and reach with arms and hands. Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and taste or smell. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 60 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Work Environment: Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes. Frequently exposed to airborne particles, wet and/or humid conditions, high precarious places and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
