-Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances-Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material as guides for subsequent machining-Secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers-Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media-Detects malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls as required-Develops layout and plans sequence of operations-Oversees the following tasks related to work pieces: marks cutting lines, hammers, chips, grinds, and preheats; verifies conformance to specs-Positions, aligns, fits, and welds parts together-Fabricates and assembles sheet metal products.-Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data-Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly and verifies dimensions and alignment-Installs machine replacement parts as needed-Develops specifications from general description and draws sketch of part or product to be fabricated.-Sets up and operates machine tools associated with fabricating shops such as radial drill press, end mill, and edge planer

-Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office, Basic AutoCad, Solidworks and CNC Programming-Basic knowledge of hand tools for fabrication environment
-High school diploma or GED-Operational knowledge of drill press, brake, and cut-off saws-Operational knowledge of CNC Water Jet Machine as well as CNC Press Brake Machine-Able to use precision measuring equipment applicable to this job-Ability to problem solve and communicate effectively with all key stakeholders
