Responsibilities:
Fabricators will be responsible for fabrication of metal and/or fiberglass products according to written or oral specification and/or drawings.

1. Operates drills, wrenches & hand tools to fabricate fiberglass and metal products.

2. Operates beam saw to cut material in compliance with drawings or layout diagrams.

3. Operates saws, iron worker, drill press and all other pieces of equipment (excluding welder) as needed for fabrication.

4. Fabricates general orders using drawings, diagrams, or instructions.

5. Performs setup, layout, and operation of all pieces of equipment (excluding welder)

6. Fabricates custom/nonstandard fiberglass and metal products using drawings, diagrams and/or instructions.

7. Provides material layout as required by job.

8. Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, rivets, adhesives, or other fasteners.

9. Counts hardware for orders & partially disassembles product for shipping.

10. Assembles wooden pallets for shipping.

11. Moves material for storage, staging or other purposes, using handcart, forklift, manual handling or other means.

12. Loads and unloads trucks

13. Assists in grounds maintenance of facility. Operate building/grounds equipment as directed by supervisor.

14. Keeps facility (shop, break room, restroom & yard area) in good, clutter free condition by putting tools, equipment, supplies & material back in proper space when finished with them. Cleans up after self. Performs other cleaning and maintenance duties as assigned by supervisor.

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

No Degree Required

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Mathematical - Ability to perform basic mathematical functions using addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions.

Technical Skills - Ability to read and understand simple drawings used in fabricating product. Capable of safely and effectively using tools such as, wrenches, drills, chop saw, etc. Ability to read tape measure.

Communication - Ability to write clearly & legibly. Ability to read and/or comprehend and apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

Physical - Ability to lift up to 120lbs. Ability to work under Florida's hot weather conditions, lifting frequently throughout the day.
