Reviewing the blueprints of various mechanical systems. Constructing and joining structural components. Examining and measuring components to ensure that they are of the correct size and quality. Using welding equipment and hand tools like ball-peen hammer, hack saw, and steel ruler while constructing structural components. Performing regular maintenance checks. Identifying system malfunctions and rectifying the same. Placing replacement orders for defective or broken parts. Adhering to the safety guidelines and industry standards at all times. Fabricating, assembling, and disassembling metal parts and tools as and when required.

Responsibilities:
Using and maintaining specialised machines and tools
Assembling components so they are ready for installation
Reading and interpreting project plans
Coordinating with the labour crew for efficient installations
Performing MIG, TIG and other types of welding methods depending on the project
Finding and fixing faults in pipework
Carrying out planned maintenance checks
Conserving resources wherever possible to ensure budgetary integrity and client satisfaction
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Qualifications:
Proven experience working as a fitter. The ability to use hand and power tools. The ability to interpret blueprints for mechanical systems. The ability to concentrate for extended periods. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills. Exceptional welding and mechanical skills.
Candidates will be required to have the following items prior to scheduling a fitter test: tape measure, square, welding hood or welding goggles, marking device(soapstone/silver streak holder), gloves, Z87 approved glasses
