Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience PLUS 5-7 years of experience on the job in a family law firmParalegal certificate from an accredited institution is required.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10???s and 100???s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
