Law firm in Clinton, NJ seeking a full-time Family Law Paralegal to join their team.
Job Type: Direct Hire, Full-time, Hybrid (2-3 days in-office after 60-90 days working for the firm)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
Salary: $51,000 to $65,000 (can be flexible based on experience, skills, and qualifications)

Responsibilities:
-Prepares and drafts legal documents such as case information statements, briefs, pleadings, motions, orders, discovery, subpoenas, correspondences for review, approval, and use by attorney.
-Investigates facts to determine causes of action, to complete case information statements, to respond to discovery demands, and to prepare cases accordingly.
-Files pleadings with court.
-Prepares affidavits of documents and maintains document files.
-Delivers or directs delivery of subpoenas to witnesses and parties to action.
-Directs and coordinates activities of law office employees.
-Interfaces with clients regarding all aspects of a case.
-Manages attorney?s calendar and all court and other deadlines.
-Meets productivity standards; Completes work in a timely manner.
-Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals.
-Limited supervisory responsibilities over administrative assistant who will assist with copying, scanning, and mailing.
-1400 annual billable and collectible hours requirement
Working hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
-Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and Paralegal certificate from an accredited institution is preferred.
-Working knowledge of Salesforce preferred
-Working knowledge of timekeeping software preferred

Qualifications:
-5+ years of recent Family Law experience on the job in a family law firm
-Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
-Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10?s and 100?s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
-Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
