Job Type: Direct Hire, Full-time, In Office
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
Salary: $55,000 to $68,000 (based on experience, skills, and qualifications)

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of the Family Law Paralegal:
- Prepares legal documents such as case information statements, briefs, pleadings, motions, orders, discovery, subpoenas, correspondences for review, approval, and use by attorney.
- Investigates facts to determine causes of action, to complete case information statements, to respond to discovery demands, and to prepare cases accordingly.
- Files pleadings with court.
- Prepares affidavits of documents and maintains document files.
- Delivers or directs delivery of subpoenas to witnesses and parties to action.
- Directs and coordinates activities of law office employees.
- Interfaces with clients regarding all aspects of a case.
- Manages attorney???s calendar and all court and other deadlines.
- Types dictation from a recorder.
Working hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
- Paralegal certificate from an accredited institution is a plus.
- Working knowledge of LEAP a plus

Qualifications:
Requirements of the Family Law Paralegal:
- 2+ years of experience working as a Paralegal in a law firm handling family law matters
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
