Pay $20-40/hour DOE

Responsibilities:
-Perform and supervise Phase I, II, and III archaeological fieldwork and report on results
-Ability to work alone or direct and lead crew member(s)
-Take initiative and responsibility for the projects being overseen
-Apply problem-solving skills to optimize project completion
-Direct data management and reporting for simultaneous projects under strict deadlines
-Work closely with all staff regarding project work, scheduling, and data exchange
-Maintain clear and detailed field notes and field forms
-Maintain company practices and standards for work and communication
-Attentive to details with an ability to manage multiple tasks and/or multi-task
-Undertakes responsibility for the project (including but not limited to: asking the necessary questions, booking hotel rooms, overseeing and managing crew members, communicating with the office on project status and any concerns, etc.)
-Successfully complete small and large-scale reports

Skills:
-Experience conducting pedestrian inventories (experience excavating also a plus)
-Experience leading crews during pedestrian inventories as a Crew Chief or Field Director/Supervisor
-Faunal and/or Lithic analysis experience
-Lab and/or artifact curation experience
-Experience with Trimble GPS, ArcPad, or similar hardware and software
-Experience writing site forms and technical inventory reports

Education:
Masters

1-4 years

Qualifications:
-Master???s degree in archaeology or closely-related field
-Detail-oriented with good communication and organizational skills
-Ability to work both independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment
-Ability to be adaptable to rapidly changing project needs and schedule
-Valid and Clean Driver's license and Driver record
