Spherion Staffing has a temporary Field Engineering Co-Op position available in Fargo.
This role will be the forefront of ensuring the robotic systems operate flawlessly and help transform farming practices. Your responsibilities will include everything from deploying and maintaining the robotic equipment to training the seasonal field operators and designing essential tools for field service operations. You'll also take on the role of technical lead, providing expertise and guidance to the team.

Assignment Length: 8 months (Jan-Aug 2024)
Pay $25-30/hour DOE
Responsibilities:
-Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during the normal operation of the robotic system in the field
-Serve as the technical lead for field operations, providing guidance and expertise to the team
-Be part of the team responsible for setting up our first field service office/warehouse, ensuring it is well-equipped and efficient for our operations
-Play a key role in designing and building field engineering trailers, which are essential for field repairs and deployments
-Collaborate with our team to train seasonal field operators in the proper use and maintenance of our robotic equipment
-Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team, promoting creative problem-solving and continuous improvement
-Take charge of designing, selecting, and installing tooling for field service operations to ensure optimal functionality
-Be ready to provide support for field issues during the 2024 growing season, demonstrating a commitment to the success of our operations
-Adapt quickly to changing priorities, especially in response to robot breakdowns, to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
-Lead and participate in continuous improvement programs and projects aimed at enhancing future deployments
-Conduct testing of new hardware and software to ensure they meet our high-quality standards

Qualifications:
-Must possess technical background: Preferably in the areas of engineering or agriculture
-Must possess a valid driver's license
-Proficiency in interpreting and understanding assembly instructions and engineering documentation
-Excellent communication skills are key for this position
-Knowledge of electrical systems
-Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
-Knowledge of farming is a huge plus
-Willingness to work outdoors for 12 hours, with an alternating 3 to 4 day work week
