Material Handling: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move materials into and out of racking systems, onto and off trucks, and loading docks.Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records by identifying, labeling, and organizing materials. Record inventory locations and report any discrepancies.Equipment Maintenance: Complete pre-use inspections of material-handling equipment and make necessary operator reports. Ensure equipment is in good working condition.Quality Checks: Inspect incoming materials for damage and ensure they meet quality standards. Maintain high levels of CandyCo requirements.Workspace Organization: Contribute to the orderly operation of the stock and/or materials storage area. Keep inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean and inspected.Safety Compliance: Follow all food safety guidelines and protocols. Model the Company?s Safety Culture and strive for 100% safety compliance.Flexibility: Be willing to work a flexible schedule, including other shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
1-4 years
Technical Capacity: Ability to manage tasks involving handling products, using computer systems, and following departmental procedures.Perform pre-shift stretches and exercises as needed.Use hair restraints, beard nets (if needed), and safety gloves where warranted.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance and stand for most of the shift.
Certification: Must be a certified forklift driver and proficient with Stand Up Reach Truck.Experience: Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move stock or reorganize storage. Experience in a similar role is preferred.Skills: Ability to work with changing deadlines, focus on organizational skills and initiative. Ability to work well in both individual and team environments.
