Responsibilities:
- Ability to collaborate with Production Managers, and HR Manager.
- The HR Business Partner will be in a hands-on position in a manufacturing setting and will help with the implementation of on-site business initiatives.
- Effectively identify, investigate, and resolve employee relations issues.
- Oversee employee new hires, employee departures, and conduct exit interviews.
- Greet new employees on their first day of work. Serve as a point-of-contact for an employee's first week of work to ensure smooth transition in to work environment.
- Communicate company policies to employees and ensure compliance with HR reporting procedures.
- Performs a variety of human resource support and services in employment onboarding/new hire orientation and HRIS administration.
-Investigates, resolves, and proactively manages employee relation issues to successful closures.
- Lead key initiatives in the areas of performance management and employee development.
- Provides coaching, advice, council, and support for the management team and employees.
- Administer and enforce all company policies fairly and consistently.
- Work in conjunction with Human Resources and operations management to maintain a positive employee relations environment.
- Enforce a safe working environment by complying to all safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Ensure the accurate and timely preparation, processing, distribution and retention of all necessary reports and records regarding HR and personnel issues.
- Utilize reports to track schedules and attendance for new employees and training records for employees' first 90 days.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)
Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Industrial Relations, or related field is preferred but not required
- Ability to communicate in one or more of the following languages (both verbally and written) is beneficial, but not required: Spanish, Nepali, and/or Arabic.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
- High School diploma
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and working knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and techniques
- Experience in environmental and or safety policies and reporting
- Novice to expert understanding of applicable state and federal labor and employment laws
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other industry software
- Ability to work 12-hours shifts (7am - 7pm or 7pm - 7am) and overtime as needed, on a 2-2-3-2 two-week rotation
- Ability to stand on feet for up to twelve-hour shift
- Ability to communicate effectively in English - both verbally and written.
- Servant leadership mentality - willingness to learn each aspect of the production process
- Effective leadership skills and ability to manage cross-functional team members
