Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior level staff and management.
Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource and payroll files and records.
Performs periodic audits of HR and Payroll files and records to ensure that all required documents are maintained and filed appropriately.
Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefit providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
Conducts new hire orientation and on-boarding programs.
Plans and executes unique events such as benefits enrollments, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events.
Process, reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This includes anti-harassment training, professional licensure, aptitude exams and certifications.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining data and reporting within the HRIS system for the organization.
Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
Develop and implement new hire orientation/on-boarding and employee recognition programs.
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute Human Resource Programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale.
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and modern technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Maintains payroll functions using third party administration services (Paylocity) to ensure timely, accurate processing of earnings for employees.
Analyze and ensure all updated pay rates, deductions, reimbursements, and adjustments are prepared and processed in a timely manner.
Process attendance records and other documents (e.g.W-2 and tax forms)
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is strongly preferred.
Human Resource Management experience or SHRM certification is a plus
