Performs and/or assists with Human Resources clerical functions including, but not limited to, scheduling, word processing, developing and distributing monthly/quarterly reports, correspondence, and memoranda.
Serves as an information coordinator as needed to schedule meetings and appointments, organize and maintain paper and electronic files, manage projects, conduct research, and provide information via the telephone, postal mail, and e-mail
Prepares a variety of complex, sensitive, or routine correspondences such as memos, letters, articles, reports, proposals, charts, etc. from drafts or verbal instruction; prepares and processes routine forms, documents and responds to inquiries, etc. following standard procedures.
Assist with Human Resources files such as EEO complaints, employment grievances, disciplinary actions, terminations, performance management systems, HR policy and procedures manual, and HR records such as leaves and attendance.
Assist in creating HR systems, processes to improve office coordination, efficiency and teamwork; creates quarterly newsletter on employment laws and other HR related issues for agency-wide distribution.
Assists HR staff in understanding and using HR systems and processes including, but not limited to, confidential files, personnel files, reports, etc.
Makes new employee and temporary employee badges as they come in.
Directs all incoming and outgoing calls, transcribing messages, incoming calls and communicating information to callers relative to the Authority???s business.
Prepares and tracks budgets, purchase requisitions, HR Vice Presidents calendar
Creates new employee benefits folders and updates policy as new information arises.
Assist with the set up and scheduling of meetings for interviewees, hiring managers, employees, and department heads.
Coordinates inter office systems and reports from Vice President of Human Resources and staff, apprising the Vice President of any crisis situations, which may demand immediate action.
Maintains up to date data files of all Human Resources Policies and Procedures and revisions.
Organizes flow of work by reviewing correspondence and determining importance before distributing to Vice President. Refers and/or responds to such correspondence, as appropriate, and in a timely manner. Proofreads outgoing correspondence and makes appropriate corrections to ensure accuracy.

Must have at least two years of college or an Associate Degree from an accredited community college, with a concentration in Secretarial Science, Business Administration or a related field of study.
OR with (3) years secretarial or administrative experience OR Bachelor???s Degree with a minimum of two (2) years secretarial experience. Must have documented computer skills in the operation of the personal computer and excellent typing skills.
