Responsibilities of the Human Resources Generalist:
-Counsels and provides assistance to employees and all levels of management in employee or management issues
-Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Gathers and analyzes information, develops alternative solutions
-Obtains factual information concerning employee/management inquiries and employee suggestions or complaints
-Provides recommendations for corrective actions, coordinates and participates in disciplinary actions and investigations of misconduct and areas of concernResponds promptly to employee needs, concerns and develops positive relations
-Conducts interviews to recruit prospective employees and refers job applicants to specific job openings

-Manages workers compensation claims and management of prevention strategies, return to work and modified duty management
-Communicates clearly and effectively with all team members. Works effectively with a variety of personalities and effectively completes projects to fruition
-Acts as an ambassador to assist and promote a positive culture
-Administers payroll for the plant personnel
-Enrolls, deletes, explains, administers and interprets the various benefit programs to and for employees
-Monitors and manages short term, long term disability claims as well as FMLA
-Maintains personnel, medical, attendance records, job postings, job bids, vacation and all other personnel files
-Ensures performance evaluations are distributed and completed
Requirements:
-3-4 years of experience with human resources in a manufacturing environment
-Degree in Human Resources/Business Administration field preferred or equivalent work experience in Human Resources
-Proficient in MS Office – Excel, Word, and Outlook
-Ability to work alone or in a team
-Ability to work in a multi-task environment and prioritize workload
-Able to adapt to changes in the work environment
-Strong time management and organizational skills required
-Great communication skills both verbal and written
