Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition and Management
- Uses best practice recruiting procedures to attract and retain a high performing workforce; researches and recommends process improvements; coaches and trains hiring managers in interviewing techniques; ensures diversity in applicant pools.
- Assists with the implementation of a talent management system, including competency assessment, succession planning, organizational design and employee development programs in a coaching oriented environment.
- Ensures legal compliance with HR state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition and morale; occupational health and safety; and training/development and enforcing company policies and practices.
Employee Relations
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Assists with employee communication and feedback through such avenues as employee meetings, suggestion programs, employee satisfaction surveys, newsletters, employee focus groups and one-on-one meetings.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Coaches leaders and managers on performance management approaches, processes and techniques.
Compensation and Benefits
- Process required documents to payroll and benefits providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions
- Handle processing of FMLA, Workers??? compensation, unemployment, and short term/long term disability claims
- Be a resource for employee questions and concerns, and must have a clear understanding of organizational benefits
- Participates in analyzing benefit data and information to support recommendations on benefit design change, cost-management strategies and employee education programs.
- Assists with the monitoring of compensation structure, including the incentive pay program, and performance based salary increases.
- Understands and maintains the market pricing compensation system. Provides updates to structure and individual positions as necessary.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification, or other advanced certifications desired
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively work in virtual and office environments
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS and talent management systems.
- Strong customer service orientation
- Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution skills and coaching skills
