Spherion Staffing is looking for an Industrial Buyer/Tool Crib Support individual to work out of Gwinner, ND. This is a dual role in which you will support the client's daily buying needs, resolve issues with suppliers and maintain relationships with suppliers half the time. The other half of the time you will be supporting the tool crib with inventory, receiving and maintaining the tool crib area.

Pay: $22-25/hour DOE
Buyer Responsibilities:
- Support the day to day buying needs through initiating requisitions for product or services
- Maintain working relationships with customers to ensure that all procurement related requirements are being fully met
- Manage returns with supply base; contact supplier to obtain RMA and follow Customer/Company process
- Resolve any supplier performance problems including short shipments, damages in shipment and service or support issues
- Coordinate supplier visits including Vendor Managed Inventory and/or Vendor Managed Ordering programs (VMI/VMO) with suppliers as required
Crib Responsibilities:
- Assist maintenance leaders in the identification of critical requirements
- Support the Maintenance Coordinator in the planning of maintenance activities through the staging of required maintenance items
- Assist with implementation and use of the Store Room application
- Access and maintain plant floor inventory ensuring efficient use of assets, where applicable
- Gather items from designated receiving area(s) and relocate to the crib
- Unpack items from shipping containers
- Place inventory into designated locations and update the Store room system to reflect accurate inventory levels

-Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics or other system types
-General understanding of plant operations and requirements
-Knowledge of purchasing practices and standard purchasing systems;
-Ability to perform cost analyses
-Capable of conducting price and term negotiations with suppliers that meet customer goals and commitments
