All Upholstery employees will be classified and evaluated according to the Tier system based on skills. The Upholsterer position is a safety sensitive position.
Responsibilities:
Can read an order accurately and follow build instructions/line drawings
Builds assemblies to specified bill of materials (BOM)
Prep
Steam out imperfection
Apply seat pan and appropriate sticker(s)
Apply J-bar and back shell
Assembly arms for various styles
Apply arms to seat
Apply slider to seat
Adhere to all safety policies and practices
Additional duties as assigned based on skills and knowledge
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Skills:

Time Management - Managing one's own time under the guidelines of the department supervisor to accomplish daily production goals
Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

No Degree Required
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
A high school diploma/degree or GED is preferred
Experience working at manufacturing facility combined with a willingness to learn a new skills set will be considered as commensurate with any of the above qualifications for any internal transfers.
Physical Demands:
Vision, hearing and speaking to meet performance standard
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Required to stand for long periods of time and to walk frequently.
The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
Typical production area in an environment that contains dust, odors, moderate level noise, and temperature & ventilation variations while wearing safety glasses
