The Tool Room Attendant receives, stores, records, and issues tools and is responsible for maintaining records of tools and equipment issued and returned manually or by using the computer.

Responsibilities:
- Check tools in and out of the tool crib by use of pre-established process and procedures.
- Maintain records of tools and equipment issued to and returned by personnel.
- Ensure tools are returned and accounted for on a daily basis.
- Maintain an organized tool crib with properly labeled and functioning tools.
- Maintain red tagged tools and execute proper actions for repair, return, or scrap.
- Complete cycle counts to maintain current and accurate tool inventory in appropriate software system.
- Inspect tools, perform diagnostic tests to determine functionality, repair/ service if needed.
- Clean and lubricate tools on a daily basis or when needed.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
1-3 years inventory control experience
1-3 years related trade experience
1-3 years loss prevention experience
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience with tool maintenance or working with mechanical equipment
- Experience working in an industrial environment.
- Inventory experience in a warehouse
- Must read and write in the English language and have good oral communication ability
- Must be in good physical condition, be able to reach overhead, position self where equipment components can be accessed, climb ladders, and with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) work in a variety of conditions including those which are cold, hot, dirty, dusty, and noisy
