Our agricultural research client has two current openings for IT Support Specialists. They are seeking individuals that enjoy travel and are eager to jump in and learn! Please submit your resume today so we can speak to you further about this excellent opportunity!
Responsibilities include:
- Directly respond to Hardware, Software, Printer, and Remote Connection problems submitted via e-mail, phone, and in person by the IT User Community
- Site travel where and when required to assist, including travel to Canada
- Log and maintain accurate descriptions of activities and problem solutions using the help desk call tracking software (Cherwell)
- Support requests for video, teleconference, mobile phone, unified communication, and telephone PBX assistance
- Set up, upgrade, maintain, and troubleshoot Desktop and Laptop computers running various MS Windows and Mac operating systems
- Create support procedures/technical reports and update existing support documentation
- Provide user access administration for all network applications using both on-prem Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and other application administration tools
- Effectively instruct members of the user community in the use of hardware, software, and remote access procedures. Create end-user training documentation as needed
- Purchase end-user Information System consumables and accessories at competitive pricing levels as needed
- Provide input for new hardware and software applications with regard to the end user and technical usability
- Maintain and increase knowledge of all company business unit purposes, systems, and related infrastructure products
Qualifications Essential to Success:
- An advanced degree/certification related to IS is desired, a high school diploma is required
- 2-3 years of prior work experience in a related role
- Ability to work onsite, travel within North America, and obtain a passport
- Excellent organization skills and the ability to take initiative/prioritize within a dynamic environment
- Proven understanding of MS applications, basic Local and Wide Area Networking, Cisco VPN, and Citrix remote access
- Knowledge of Active Directory (both on-prem and Azure) as well as maintaining and updating users, computers, and groups
- Experience with PC software and hardware installation, repair, testing, and troubleshooting. Dell, or comparable manufacturer, hardware repair experience is essential
- Ability to adhere to and display our client's values and understand the big picture of your role within the organization
- Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with co-workers, internal and external customers, and vendors
- Ability to be flexible with job responsibilities and advance your skills
- Willingness to participate in company training opportunities to further develop skills applicable to the department
