Responsible for the manufacturing of printed labels while continuously monitoring label quality and press conditions. Meet safety, housekeeping, quality, scrap and productivity standards while meeting production schedules.Responsibilities:1. Completes make ready in accordance with the work order and Product Specification documents to ensure correct print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, and anilox rollers are used. 2. Responsible for completing all required quality checks related to product specifications, visual, and functional checks. Completes all press-side quality checks. 3. Operates press to produce product in accordance to customer specifications while maintain quality, waste, and press efficiency.4) Maintains consistent quality during the production run. Critical quality checks includes copy, color, and registration, and ink adhesion. Ensure conformance to all other quality checks5) Back up to HP Indigo, Crusader and Delta Laser6) Perform safe and effective operation of all operations7) Perform preventive and routine maintenance on schedule and according to procedures.8) Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.9) Evaluate and achieve optimum print quality.10) Systematically analyze and troubleshoot mechanical and print problems.11) Monitor and minimize downtime by making accurate and efficient press adjustments.12) Maintain effective use of raw material through effective machine and materials management.13) Verify proper job setup prior to printing to minimize errors and rework.14) Produce flexo printed samples as required for product and prototype testing.15) Assist in performing other duties for the work team or other teams as needed.16) Cross-train and work in other areas as requested17) Produce quality work in an efficient and timely manner to assist Metalcraft in meeting customer needs.18) Assist with the completion of all related standard work instructions, and quality measurementsWorking hours: 6:10 AM - 3:45 PMSkills:* Good computer skills * Experience with flexography printing desired * Experience with inkjet systems & variable imaging desired * Working knowledge of Webtron 750 Flexo press desiredEducation:High SchoolExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:* Willingness to learn new methods and try new ideas * Willingness/ability to train others * Good manual dexterity and mechanical ability * Good interpersonal and communication skills * High attention to detail and good visual discrimination * Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime * Ability to lift 40 pounds * Ability to use measuring devices * Takes pride in producing a high-quality product * Ability to accurately match colors * High School including Basic Math This company is employee owned, and the culture reflects that!
