As part of the Employment group, you will get the opportunity to work on complex and challenging assignments alongside leaders in the field. This will be a hybrid position until further notice.Responsibilities:- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMSkills:- Working knowledge of federal, New Jersey, New York State and New York City employment laws.-Excellent academic credentials, legal research, drafting and writing ability, and analytical and verbal communication skills are required.Education:DoctorateExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:- 3+ years of employment litigation experience defending discrimination matters, retaliation, restrictive covenants and wage and hour litigation in the state and federal courts of NJ and NY and before government agencies.- Experience with all facets of employment litigation from responding to initial pleading, pre-trial discovery (including interviewing witnesses, drafting discovery requests and responses, depositions, reviewing documents), preparing and responding to various motions and trial preparation.- Experience providing advice and counsel to employers on various employment-related issues including wage and hour, mitigation of risk, performance management, and workplace accommodations, leave laws, and reductions-in-force, and experience drafting employment agreements, employment handbooks and related policies.- New Jersey and New York bar admission required.
