The Operator is responsible for the production of finished goods meeting company expectations and production line rates. An in-depth working knowledge of how the reprocessing system works and knowledge of individual pieces of equipment is required. The Operator will support system troubleshooting and problem resolution. The system includes regrind equipment, pelletizing equipment, float/sink equipment, dust collection, finished goods material handling, and support utilities, such as air compressors and process cooling water chillers and pumps. The Operator will perform preventative maintenance with the team to deliver reliable equipment to production, ensuring the ability to achieve targets.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProduce consistent material throughput that meets quality standardsPerform root cause analysis and various troubleshooting techniquesIdentify and accurately report equipment problems related the system and utilitiesPerform extrusion process adjustments to maintain the production of quality standard reprocessed materialComplete the proper start up and shut down of each piece of equipmentEnsure equipment cleanliness between maintenance intervalsPerform die changes, material changes, and color changes following proper processesEnsure accurate reporting of consumed items such as parts, scrap material, and colorantEnsure accurate reporting of produced reprocessed material when work orders changeOperate fork truck to enable delivery of finished goods.Complete all required documentation including shift performance metrics, daily checklists, and Excel spreadsheets.Execute all preventative maintenance of equipment.Ability to diagnose and repair machinery, with the use of machine specific documentation/schematics and vendor communication.Responsibilities:Previous experience in manufacturing environment and/or extrusion process is preferredMust have a High School Diploma or equivalentMechanical knowledge base to support troubleshooting and preventative maintenance effortsMust be able to work with minimal supervisionMust be able to effectively communicate with laborers, peers, and supervisorsMust be able to pass forklift certificationWorking hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PMSkills:Extrusion experience is good to haveFL experience Mold experienceEducation:High SchoolExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:.
