The Metal Machine Operator is responsible for set up and operating metal fabrication equipment while working under limited supervision within assigned areas in a manner which meets or exceeds established quality and quantity standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up, adjustment, and operation of a variety of metal fabrication equipment including, but not limited to press brake, punch presses, tube benders, saws, and wire forming machines
- Following engineering drawings and blueprints to perform the work
- Achievement of high standards regarding quality of parts
- Determining the materials required and following the sequence of tasks outlined on production orders
- Ability to complete a thorough inspection of parts
- Maintaining equipment, as well as an to be clean and safe work environment
MUST HAVE:
- Six (6) months experience operating metal forming equipment
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
- Experience with tape measures, calipers, and other measuring instruments
- Reading text and documents, numeracy, writing and oral communications within team environment
- Problem solving, critical thinking, planning, prioritizing and organizing
- Ability to operate hand tools
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Light to moderate lifting
NICE TO HAVE:
- Vocational/technical school training but not required
