Operate and maintain boilers for proper pressures, chemical control and safety.Perform general maintenance duties as assigned.Communicate with their supervisor or manager about problems and relevant information Read and follow rules and regulations for maintaining a sanitary and safe plant.Work with other employees in a productive manner.Must be mentally alert at all times for their safety and the safety of other employees.Spot malfunctions in the operation of equipment that could be unsafe to employees or damage equipment. Repair and or report such conditions to their supervisor immediately.Understand oral and written communication and possess the skills necessary to fulfill the demands of the job.Exercise the judgment necessary to make independent satisfactory decisions for successful job performance.Act as a relief for Wastewater Operator by maintaining WWTP (Waste Water Treatment Plant) in good working order so to ensure waste water discharge is in compliance with the City of Albert Lea discharge permit.Use chemicals in a safe manner as established by the company.Move and use ladders, scaffolding and other apparatuses in a safe manner.Perform all preventative maintenance tasks as assigned. Correctly and accurately fill out all required paperwork.Visually determine if equipment is in good working order.Identify chemicals and that they are being used properly.Paint parts of the building and equipment.Keep work area clean.Must use lock out tag out, confined space procedures and any other safety regulations required by the company.Wear all PPE in the correct manner and follow all SOP?s and GMP?s.

2nd Class B boilers license or the ability to obtain this license as soon as possible.
Able to accurately apply the job knowledge learned during their training to maintain and keep boilers and plant equipment in good working order.Able to lift, push, pull and manipulate objects in excess of 50lbs such as motors, gearboxes, pumps etc.Able to grasp hand wrenches, pipe wrenches, power hand tools such as drills, saws and grinders.Communicate with others.Able to feel or listen for excess vibration, noise or heat in equipment.Able to troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.Able to weld, MIG - TIG - STICKAble to use all hand and power tools safely.Have a basic knowledge of Electrical, Pneumatics and Hydraulics.Able to fully understand all the chemicals in the plant including what they are used for, how to correctly use and handle them, proper dilutions, and what to do if improperly exposed to a chemical.Able to climb up and down stairs.Able to work a 10-12 hour shift when necessary.
