Works closely with the Safety Manager to develop and implement environmental, health, and safety programs, policies, and procedures for all Innovance organizations to provide a safe and healthful atmosphere for employee-owners that complies with all federal, state, and local environmental and regulations. Ensures training requirements and safety awareness levels are met regarding established policies and procedures. Ensures that building projects meet local building codes and OSHA standards. Coordinates projects that satisfy our building/worker's compensation carrier and OSHA's requirements.Responsibilities:Support efforts to maintain a healthy and safe work environment free from hazards.Assist company leaders to ensure OSHA compliance.Attend and support safety committee meetings and audits. Responds to safety concerns brought up by the committee and uses the committee to help solve safety concerns.Assists in the training and retraining with required employees in the areas of right to know, AWAIR, hazard recognition, company safety policies, forklift operations, lockout/tag out, confined spaces, handling hazardous waste, emergency procedures, first aid procedures, blood borne pathogens, respirator training, and hearing conservation.Work closely with Safety Manager and Human Resources Manager with contract tracing COVID-19 exposures and communicating appropriate measures to supervisors.Makes sure asbestos is identified and handled properly.Assists with quarterly air monitoring.Performs quarterly stop time monitoring on punch press clutch/brakes. Participate in meeting with insurance loss control, fire, police, ambulance personnel and review safety issues.Selects personal protective equipment that is required for employees or could possibly prevent or reduce occurrences of existing injuries or illnesses.Assists in the preparation of monthly OSHA reports for review and establishes corrective action for recurring injuries or illnesses.Maintains interaction with maintenance and supervisors to ensure safety issues are corrected in a timely manner.Helps with the maintenance of safety data sheets so they are always accessible according to regulations. Coordinate regular inspection schedules for all locations and areas.Maintain EPA records of hazardous waste, air emission permitting, and water pollution discharge, as well as industrial health monitoring and records of employee hazard exposure according to OSHA regulations.Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMSkills:-Excellent skills in written and verbal communication-Basic computer skills with both word processing and database applications-Ability to drive and inspect both outdoor and indoor areas to observe compliance with established programs.-Ability to set and prioritize goals.-Refuse to be satisfied with average performance.Education:High SchoolExperience:0-1 yearsQualifications:Bachelors degree in occupational safety and health, environmental science, or related subject preferred but not required.Five or more years of experience in the fieldKnowledge of ISO Work for a company voted Best Place to Work many times, and 100% Employee Owed!
