Full time permanent position with union benefits located in Janesville, WI at a food manufacturing facility. Responsible for all electrical maintenance, repair and fabrication.
Job Duties:
Maintains, installs, rebuilds and repairs equipment per specifications

Troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, PLC's controllers, lighting controls and electrical motors in a production environment
Maintains cost control for equipment and supplies for budget
Assures safety rules and regulations are being followed
Stay current on OHSA regulations
Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste
Responsibilities:
Inspect, repair and maintain machinery and equipment throughout the facility. Troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective machinery. Repair equipment as needed. Operate machinery and tools in safe manner. Design, fabricate, weld, and install equipment as required. Assist in training junior mechanics. Maintain accurate records of work performed. Oversee equipment operation as well as order supplies for department. Responsible for general house keeping of assigned areas. Read sketches and blueprints to determine layout of assigned work.
Working hours: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Skills:
Knowledge of hand and power tools includding welders and torch cutters. Good written and oral communications. Mechanical repair and equipment maintenance knowledge. Attention to detail when working with diagrams, prints, and manuals.
