Know how to read basic and more complex blueprints and schematics.
Repair and install all lubricating equipment.
Complete proper installation of shafts, sprockets, pulleys, gears, and bearings.
Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking equipment to make and repair parts.
Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools.
Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
Know how to troubleshoot most mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs. Learning to troubleshoot all mechanical, electrical hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs. Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
Layout, assemble, install and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
Work with blueprints and schematics to set up systems, and demonstrate understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
Perform most of the troubleshooting and all of the repair of corresponding systems.
Know the proper operation of welding machines, saws, shears, press brakes, and equipment used for fabrication.
Perform most welding jobs and minor fabrication from blueprints, if necessary. Know the proper operation of a cutting torch.
Know how to perform basic carpentry tasks such as rough construction and hanging drywall with good appearance. Know how to install door and window additions.
Specify materials needed for a simple carpentry jobs. Read and work from blueprints if necessary to complete jobs.
Replace plumbing fixtures and clear clogged drains. Know the different types of pipe and how to operate saws and pipe threading equipment. Perform all jobs including bending, cutting, threading, or sealing pipe.
Run conduit, pull wire, and maintain control cabinets for machines.
Maintain and repair electrical systems of the plant using electrical testing meters, hand tools, and power tools.
Connect wiring to motors, fixtures, and other electrical equipment, replace switches and fuses, change light bulbs, and perform wire splicing to join circuits.
Perform troubleshooting and repair of PLC, CNC, machine center, and other automated equipment.
Operate forklift, scissor lift, and bucket lift.

Must have Associate Degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school: or one year to 18 months related maintenance experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
