Ideal candidates will be familiar with operation and maintenance procedures of electronic, pneumatic, and microcomputer instrumentation used in water and sewer utility operations.
Knowledge of electronic theory and of the method and practices of electronic equipment repair.
Responsibilities:
Ensures all instruments and control systems are functioning within required specifications.
Ensures electronic, pneumatic, and microcomputer instruments and control systems used to monitor, measure, analyze, control and meter variables (such as flow, pressure, temperature, level, motion, force and chemical composition) are operational.
Provides technical assistance to projects as required
Reviewing and evaluating electronic, instrument, and computer specifications as required for construction projects.
Keeping appropriate records regarding testing, calibration, repair, and replacement of instrumentation.
Maintaining proper parts inventory of instruments.
Complying with all safety procedures, rules and regulations.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge.

Special Requirements: Obtain certification as ISA Control System Technician I or Industrial Electrician (Apprentice or higher) within 24 months. Possession of a valid driver?s license; possession of or ability to obtain certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within 6 months of employment; be available to work "on-call" status. Work overtime as required to carry out job responsibilities and duties.
