A local flour mill in Willard is in search of Maintenance Technicians to add to their team.
Responsible for facility and equipment; maintenance, repair, installation and proper cleaning of plant and equipment.
Operate loaders, fork trucks, cranes, trucks and other equipment used in the maintenance department.
Turn in all required maintenance reports into the Maintenance Superintendent.
Uphold all safety policies implemented and introduced.
Follow and lead others to follow all required policy and procedures regarding, but not limited to on-site safety protocol and and safety documentation. Uphold all food safety policies and ensure they are implemented and followed.
Available Shifts:
1st: 6am-3pm,on call weekends
Pay Rate: $19-$20/hour depending on experience level
Describe the work environment: While performing this job, the employee may be working near or with toxic or caustic chemicals; fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions; exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently near vibration, and may be required to work in high, precarious places. The employee occasionally works in wet or humid conditions, can be exposed to hot, cold, or wet weather. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Temp-to-hire window:Able for permanent placement after 720 hours worked.
Requirements:
High School Diploma
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
The ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
The ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
Ability to understand and implement basic mathematics.
Basic understanding of geometry.
Basic system knowledge required but not limited to include: electrical, pipe fitting, plumbing, grain systems, overhead work, and welding. Must be able to learn the operation of equipment from the mill control computer.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to use their hands to touch, handle or feel product and equipment, and must be able to walk and hear.
The employee frequently is required to stand, sit and walk; reach with arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, and crouch, or crawl.
The employee is occasionally required to taste or smell.
The employee must frequently lift/move electronically 50-100 lbs.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.
