The Professional Division of Spherion Mid Ohio is partnered with a Wooster, Ohio manufacturing facility seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to join their team. This opportunity pays between $24/hr.-$39/hr. based on skillset and experience.

The 2nd shift Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the timely and effective repair and maintenance of all equipment, plumbing, and electrical service to the building and property.
Duties & Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician:
Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on plant systems and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production equipment.
Perform minor electrical repairs such as fuses, switches, solenoids, and gates.
Dismantle devices in order to remove, repair or replace defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
Set up and operate lathes, drill presses, grinders, horizontal band saws, end mills, vertical band saws, pipe threaders, and other metal tools to maintain or repair parts and tools.
Observe, listen, and diagnose running malfunctioning equipment and determine need for adjustment or repair.
Monitor equipment, check settings, and troubleshoot problem conditions by using diagnostic touch screens and menus.
Operate and maintain RTO functions utilizing visual and electronic displays, maintain fault logs, troubleshoot and maintain plant dust collectors, bag hoses, plant vacuum material delivery system, gas and heat systems for production, operate & maintain cooling tower and boiler systems.
Utilize software program to diagnose and troubleshoot common problems with PLC’s, equipment displays, communications, etc.
Update Maintenance Work Order systems in a timely basis and maintain accurate inventory of spare parts and equipment.
Promote Lean Sigma by actively participating and supporting Kaizen Events; ensure 5S is completed according to schedule and perform daily housekeeping in work areas according to schedule & assignment.
Requirements of the Maintenance Technician:
High School Diploma/GED3-5 years minimum in a manufacturing maintenance technician role
Ability to use Word processing and Manufacturing software
PIT (Powered Industrial Truck – forklift, crane, hand truck, etc.) certifications/experience
