Repairs and maintains mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment and machinery in accordance with diagrams, sketches, maintenance manuals, specifications from the manufacturer, approved industry standards, and established codes.Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment, using hand tools, power tools, and precision - measuring and testing instruments. .Use blueprints to learn how the equipment operates and reference assembly blueprints to identify and order replacement parts.Repair and install all lubricating equipment, including air regulators, filters, cylinders, solenoid valves, and oil transfer pumps.Complete proper installation of shafts, sprockets, pulleys, gears, and bearings.Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking equipment to make and repair parts.Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools.Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.Layout, assemble, install and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment. Work with blueprints and schematics to set up systems, and demonstrate understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.Perform most welding jobs and minor fabrication from blueprints, if necessary. Read and work from blueprints if necessary to complete jobs. Replace plumbing fixtures and clear clogged drains.Perform all jobs including bending, cutting, threading, or sealing pipe, and the finished job is square and plumb. Run conduit, pull wire, and maintain control cabinets for machines. Maintain and repair electrical systems of the plant using electrical testing meters, hand tools, and power tools. Connect wiring to motors, fixtures, and other electrical equipment, replace switches and fuses, change light bulbs, and perform wire splicing to join circuits. Read all electrical schematics.Work with the Master Mechanic to perform troubleshooting and repair of PLC, CNC, machine center, and other automated equipment. Recognize the hazards of different forms of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic energy.
