In this position the Manufacturing Design Engineer is responsible for continuous improvement initiatives and providing engineering support for the facility. In addition, he/she will be responsible for designing fixtures, gages, and workstations in alignment with the launch of new products.

- Design fixtures, gages, and workstations

- Update mechanical drawings for equipment
- Provide cost estimates and order materials for projects
- Collaborate interdepartmentally to establish future production capacities
- Maintain ISO 9000:90001 and IATF 16949 as required
- Support tool room associates for CNC programming
- Ensure customer requirements are met by meeting or exceeding production and budgetary needs
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
- Six Sigma experience
- Proficient in Solid Works and Solid CAM
- Ability to navigate complex situations and track/report activity
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong professional relationships
- Ability to train staff within the department
Education:
Bachelors
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years as a Mechanical Engineer
- 10+ years toolmaking experience
- Sound knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic engineering concepts
- Able to lift 25 pounds and sit, stand, or stoop for extended periods of time
