A Manufacturing Engineer should have a Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline, industrial technology or equivalent experience, and needs to be experienced with CAD, SolidWorks or 3D modeling, and able to read engineering drawings and interpret dimensioning and tolerancing. The Manufacturing Engineer should have 3 to 5 years of the following experience: Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering data management system, Manufacturing Fabrication or Assembly, Value Stream Mapping, and able to use Measuring tools including tape measures, vernier and digital calipers and vernier and digital micrometers.
Responsibilities:
Identify, develop and implement value engineering projects to achieve cost reduction, waste elimination, and continuous improvement goals
Create proposals and financial support documentation for improvement opportunities
Make recommendations for where and how to improve costs
Complete projects timely in accordance with established goals
Troubleshoot problems and expedite solutions utilizing statistical data
Participate in redesign projects and new product development
Prototyping and providing tooling, equipment, and implementation cost estimates
Assist with implementation of continuous improvement
Leading and supporting Design for Manufacturing reviews and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) teams
Preparing process and systems documentation such as work instructions, standard work and value stream mapping
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Value stream mapping experience

PAY RANGE: $65,000-$80,000 depending on experience
