Operate Press machine in order to prepare mat components and operate press machines to ensure safe, quality and efficient operationsResponsibilities:* Inspect the work area for cleanliness.* Check with the Lead Person to ensure you are operating the correct machine, as roles may change in response to incoming work orders.* Scan production work orders into the computer system to track the production process.* Read production work orders.* Assemble proper rubber and carpet onto the machine staging area to produce mats per standard operating procedures and order specifications.* Apply labels to mats as required by operating procedures and order specifications.* Unload mats from the press wearing work gloves.* Placemats on pallets. Separate mats onto pallets by order, color and size as instructed by the supervisor.* Operate machines and understand each machine function.
