Spherion is recruiting a Material Handler.
Our innovative client develops, manufactures, and sells radiotherapy systems for alternative cancer treatments. In this role, you will primarily oversee receiving functions (unloading incoming freight, receiving, storing, etc.) at our clients Madison location.

Responsibilities:
- Manage inter-company movements utilizing a company truck
- Maintain inventory and coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure appropriate delivery times
- Receive shipments into the company database and forwards paperwork to accounting
- Maintain receiving logs and paperwork files
- Research and resolve receiving problems with the carrier and/or Buyer/Planners
- Route materials to IQA and other locations using Material Transfer forms and transactions
- Maintain stockroom, loading dock, and oversize material stocking locations
- Stock and cycle count materials on hand and report on inventory accuracy
- Assemble work order kits and issue materials to the production floor as needed
- Reviews inventory of excess and obsolete items and dispose of items as needed
- Prepare items and documents for outbound shipment
- Coordinate carrier pickups and execute shipment documentation
- Follow safety, health, and quality requirements and perform other duties as assigned
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
- Fork Lift and pallet jack operation training /certification preferred
- Experience driving a box truck preferred
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
- 1-3+ years of shipping, receiving, and stock room control experience using a computerized inventory system
- Experience with safety and quality system requirements (OSHA, FDA, ISO)
- Possession of a valid Wisconsin drivers license and safe driving record
- Inventory control, work order kitting, and cycle counting knowledge
- International shipment preparation and tracking knowledge required
- Strong communication skills and the ability to resolve issues with other departments
- Organized with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a physically active position with frequent climbing of ladders, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
