Spherion Staffing has an awesome opportunity available for a Mechanical Design Engineer. The Engineer is responsible for design, drafting, and structural analysis of the manufactured products for air-med units. Engineers also write the Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approval reports. We are looking for candidates with a Mechanical or Aeronautical or Electrical Engineering degree.

Salary $75-95k/year DOE
Responsibilities:
-Produce three-dimensional modeling and drafting of all parts and assemblies to be manufactured by the company
-Calculate and write stress analysis reports for all equipment to be approved
-Create assembly instructions within the equipment drawings and assist shop personnel in manufacturing
-Write reports for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the approval process
-Work with the entire engineering team on each project, coordinating and communicating throughout the project life cycle
-Support and comply with the safety requirements and standards
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)

-B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical or Electrical Engineering
-CAD software proficiency, specifically 3D modeling and drafting in Autodesk Inventor and Cadkey
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
-Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents
