Spherion Salinas is seeking an experienced Food Microbiologist to join our team-oriented environment of food professionals.
This individual will be responsible for many aspects of laboratory work, including client
relations, quality control, inventory, technical services, and more.

Work independently to utilize cultural and rapid methodologies (real-time PCR,etc.).
Identify pathogens, indicators, and spoilage organisms in food, water and environmental samples.
Proactively managing the laboratory personnel to ensure adherence to protocols and values.
Interact with clients by communicating test results, answering questions, and sending sampling supplies based on their needs.
Developing, maintaining, and measuring processes to increase the accuracy of turn-around-time for results.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Proven problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
Verbal and written communication in English (Spanish).
Time management, organizational and people skills.
Must have flexible work schedule, including weekends.
Education:
Bachelors
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree
Hands-On Laboratory: 1 year (Preferred)
Sterile Technique: 1 year (Preferred)
Pure Culture Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)
Travel is required.
