Spherion Staffing has several 1st shift positions available for Mold Setter Machine Operators working with a local client. The Machine Operators will be working with setting molds and are the most entry-level and labor intensive of production positions. In this role you would be separating composite boards from the molds and tearing away the plastic lining, stacking boards on pallets, prepping for the next mold and running boards through a sander.

Monday-Thursday 5 am-3:30 pm (some overtime required)
Pay $20+/hour DOE
Responsibilities:
-Remove finished or cured product from dies or mold, using hand tools and air hose
-Measure and visually inspect products for surface and dimension defects, using precision measuring instruments, to ensure conformance to specifications
-Position, align, and secure assembled mold, mold components, and machine accessories onto machine press bed, and attaches connecting lines
-Install dies onto machine or press and coats dies with parting agent, according to work order specifications
-Activate machine to inject dies and compress compounds to form and cure specified products
-Observe and adjust machine set up and operations to eliminate production of defective parts and products
-Weigh premixed compounds and dump compound into die well or fills hoppers of machines that automatically supply compound to die
-Read specifications to determine setup and prescribed temperature and time settings to mold, form, or cast plastic materials
