The Molding Process Technician is responsible for all aspects of injection
molding machines, robots, and other machines? set-up, reconfiguration, and
troubleshooting. The position is responsible for optimizing operations across
multiple machine types and brands.

Skills:
-Set-up, configure, and troubleshoot molding machines and robots to
consistently produce high quality products and minimize mold
maintenance required.
- Work with Mold Setter(s) initially to insure mold is properly adjusted.
Work with Mold Setter(s) to install molds as needed.
- Control and adjust machine settings to optimize production. Cycle time,
scrap, regrind, and defects should be minimized while maintaining
quality.
- Conduct job set-up verification via first article inspection. Insure set-up
sheet is put on the Q.C. board and the previous set-up sheet is properly
filed.
- Understand and correctly operate the moisture analyzer.
- Understand and set up End-of-Arm-Tooling (EOAT) systems.
- Conduct and be responsible for line clearance to allow for first article
approval.
- Respond quickly to Operator, QA, and Supervisor/Manager requests for
assistance.
- Assist in training machine operators as required.
- Assist the Molding Manager in maintaining spares inventory.
-Understand, use, and follow all forms and procedures.
- Complete required forms quickly and accurately.
- Understand and perform the duties of the Resin Handler/Mixer and Mold
Setter positions as needed.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
