- Develop, plan and implement programs and procedures to improve productivity and morale.- Identify alternatives for loans that fall outside of guidelines by demonstrating the ability to translate the underwriting policy and guidelines with application of mitigating factors, when applicable, to ensure the loan is within the Credit Union's risk tolerance.- Train and assist Underwriters in analyzing personal, Partnership, S-Corporation and C-Corporation Tax Returns and Financial Statements to establish qualifying income per current regulations and the Loan Policy and Procedures. - Ensure that underwriter's analysis is accurate; organized and completed in a timely manner and submitted through proper channels for loan approval. - Generate reports and design spreadsheets necessary to facilitate audits of past loan files to determine if any procedure changes or adjustments need to recommend to SVP of Lending and VP Mortgage Loan Managers. - Work proactively and positively with the underwriters and loan officers to determine best approach and required documentation to establish qualifying income on individual loans.- Conduct concurrent approval on loans above Underwriters approval authority with VP Loan Managers. Review and send overview of loan scenario to SVP of lending when loan exceeds lending approval authority.- Assign loans to Underwriters as they come into que from loan originating system. - Maintain ongoing communication with SVP of Lending, informing them of all pertinent problems, developments, changes, and other important information.- Stay abreast of all current and changing compliance and regulatory laws.- Effectively manage time, resources, and personnel, with working knowledge of principles and practices of supervision, shift scheduling, training and performance evaluation.- Review and approve staff timecards within prescribed timeline.- Ensure that all staff comply with the 5-consecutive-days out-of-office policy.- Advanced understanding of clerical procedures, office equipment and computer systems, including recordkeeping and filing.- Complete mandatory annual BSA training that includes Red Flag, Identity Theft, OFAC, CTR and SAR reporting and thresholds, as well as the safe keeping of member information, and passes any applicable tests.- Follow all Credit Union, Montana and Federal information privacy laws and guidelines.- Protect Member and Credit Union confidential information.

- Associate or bachelor's degree in finance, economics or business preferred but not required.- At least 5 years professional experience in financial analysis and lending required.
