Spherion has partnered with a local company in Brenham, TX for a CNC Mill Machinist. CNC machinist can expect to work with software and hardware, conduct tests and inspections of products, services and software systems, and repair faulty programs and machinery.

Works from specific verbal or written instructions and general operating practices requiring the application of some judgment and selectivity.
Sets up machine requiring the interaction of several variables.
Loads material into the machine, manually cycles, and unloads finished product.
May perform additional operations manually or using simple machines.
Routinely checks product against gauges and sets up accordingly.
Maintains shop order forms and area measures.
Reports operation completion through data collection system and forwards work order package to supervisor for next workstation.
Performs first article inspections.
Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
Performs other tasks and projects as assigned.
Working hours: 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Skills:
Must be able to understand basic CNC machines
Edit programs for speed and feed
Operate CL machines
Must support other operators.
Must understand customer's detailed drawings and notify engineers of capability issues
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Basic machining experience
3 years experience
