Potential temp-to-hire, call center position in South Burlington! Provide top-notch customer service to patients in a safe non-clinical office space. Office is open 7 days per week; 8:00 am-8:00 pm, so day, evening and weekend shifts are available. This position is responsible for answering inbound calls for several departments and schedules/coordinates simple and complex patient appointments for respective medical clinics.Responsibilities:Follow protocols in order to prioritize patient requests and appointments.Schedule patient appointments, obtain pertinent information and determine patient preference. Follow HIPAA and capture demographic and insurance information.Route incoming referral requests and provide appropriate documentationProvide patient with brief description of required test or procedure and any required instructionsAnswer telephones in a professional and courteous manner in accordance with standardsProcess and follow steps for pre-authorization documentationAdditional responsibilities as assigned.Working hours: Various Shifts AvailableSkills:The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is a necessity.Knowledge of proper telephone etiquette and standard office procedures. Ability to operate office machines such as fax, telephone, computer, keyboard, copier and scanning. Active listening skills, written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a busy office environment while maintaining a professional, customer-oriented attitude at all times. The ability to remain calm with distressed or emotional individuals. Be able to resolve disputes and problems constructively, with an emphasis on win-win outcomes. Must be able to handle multiple tasks at once, along with the ability to prioritize and caller needs.Education:High SchoolExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:Demonstrated customer service in a medical, fast-paced retail or other business environment.
