Spherion Staffing is looking for an experienced Payroll/HR Specialist to manage a company's payroll processing function on a semi-monthly basis as well as general support in the area of Human Resources. Candidates need to have 2 years' of payroll processing experience and experience with ADP Workforce Now software.

Responsibilities:
-Management of electronic time cards (approximately 165 employees)
-Manage employee database in payroll system to ensure accurate payroll distribution - new hire setup, tax allocation, garnishments etc.
-Oversee quarterly and year end reporting is timely and accurate
-Support the Managers if needed for payroll or HR related inquiries or concerns
-Process payroll for semi-monthly cycles
-Monitor and insure E-verify/New Hire reporting requirements are met
-Administer and reconcile employee benefit programs
-Respond to employee questions and concerns regarding payroll issues
-Utilize approved outside HR Resources as needed in special circumstances
-Assist in other areas of accounting as needed and general office duties
-Perform all other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:
-Minimum of 2 years payroll processing experience (preferable for an employer with over 50 employees)
-Experience with ADP Workforce Now software is strongly preferred
-Must have strong attention to detail with ability to work independently
-Proficiency with different software programs including Microsoft Office
-Flexible on work schedule to accommodate changing business needs
-Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
