Spherion is hiring Pick and Packers in South Bend, IN!Pick and Packers are responsible for coordinating packaging, and shipment of fragrance, flavor, and essential oil samples to customers in a timely manner. Maintain inventory for samples and sample packaging materials. Shift Hours: 11pm-7:30amPay: $14.75/hrCall/Text Spherion at 574-282-2761 for more information!Responsibilities:-Pick sample orders from the system and pick-confirm orders when they are complete; print picking slips as verification of orders-in-process and orders completed-Print packing slips, and include regulatory documentation, as requested-Follow all safety, DEA and HazMat guidelines, including the separation of air shipments from ground shipments-Utilize packaging materials and necessary safeguards (i.e. shrink wrap, peanuts, properly sealing containers) in preparing samples for shipment, in order to minimize risk of damage during delivery -Print shipping labels, aligning them correctly to affix to bottles -Ensure customer order requests are fulfilled in a timely manner; maintain communication with Customer Service and Sales to provide status updates, as needed -Coordinate with Lab and Sales departments to establish an order of priority for sample orders-Maintain adequate inventory and supplies, updating the system to delete old inventory and adding location numbers to the system for new inventory-Submit compounding requests to the creative Lab, as needed, to create oils that are necessary to fulfill sample orders; follow up with the Lab on the status of sample requests, as necessary-Coordinate with Shipping & Receiving, as needed, depending on sample order shipment requirementsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Working hours: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AMSkills:-Great communication skills-Basic math skills-Basic computer knowledgeEducation:High SchoolExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:-High school diploma or general education degree (GED). -One (1) year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. -Prior shipping experience is preferred.-Prior Forklift experience required.-Regular periods of standing and walking-Regular lifting and/or moving of up to 10 pounds, and occasional lifting and/or moving between 10 and 50 pounds, throughout a scheduled work day -Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle, reach, grip, grasp and twist-Frequent need to kneel, stoop, bend and crouchBackground check and Drug Screen Required. The Voice Pick Builder's primary function is to pull orders utilizing the voice pick headset to accurately build orders for loading onto delivery trucks.Responsibilities:Build orders according to set building quotas to include 99.8% accuracy on all orders.Build orders manually by walking and use of manual, electric and riding pallet jacks.Build orders by stacking products on pallets where they are organized in a manner that protects the product from damage, eases ability to verify the load and keeps the delivery driver safe when they try to unload the product.Responsible for marking completed orders with identifying information.Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.Working hours: 10:00 AM - 6:30 PMSkills:ELECTRIC PALLET JACK EXP.Education:High SchoolExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:ELECTRIC PALLET JACK EXP.Strong attention to detail with excellent planning, problem solving and organizational skills while working in a fast paced environment.Passionate self-starter who can work independently as well as be a team player that works well with others, motivated to learn and communicates well.Must be able to operate a riding pallet jack in a safe and efficient manner. 1 to 2 years' experience preferred.
