This position reports directly to the Shop Supervisor and is a highly valued role driving our continued success. This role is responsible for setting up tooling and fixturing as well as operating equipment in various-sized production runs.
Responsibilities:
- Must be able to work both independently and as a team member
- Operate press brakes to produce three-dimensional parts from a flat layout
- Coordinate with the Engineering team as changes arise
- Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample workpieces; adhering to quality production standards and tight tolerance requirements
- Perform physical functions of the job including lifting up to 50 lbs. and maneuvering as needed
- Responsible for setting up complex setups, forming, and editing programs at the machine
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures, process integrity and regulations including keeping work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition
- Monitoring of calibration of all measuring equipment used and monitoring machinery and tools to ensure safe correct and optimum performance
- Install preset jobs and setup tooling, fixturing and machinery
- Verify the paperwork, print number, revision levels, operation sequence, materials, program and check sheet are all correct and consistent
- Run jobs in an efficient, organized and safe manner while following the work instructions on the print and/or work order sequence
- Maintain the workflow and perform quality audits as required to ensure that the product meets or exceeds the customer's specifications
Working hours: 3:30 PM - 11:00 PM
