Responsibilities:
Be able to accurately read and interpret the Plant Order Form.
Have knowledge in all phases of tuber set-up and trouble-shooting procedures.
Consistently monitor quality of production at both the tuber and bottomer, with primary emphasis on tuber-related functions and characteristics.
Be able to thoroughly and accurately review both tubes and finished bags, checking both against specifications as listed on the P.O.F.
Be responsible for machine record-keeping of Production and Tracer reports, as well as SPC charting.
Assist assistant operator with splices, roll changes, and adhesives as needed.
Monitor and direct the balance of crews production- related activities, including break relief and machine/ area cleanup.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Salary increases with completed training modules.
Shift is a rotating shift every two weeks.
