We are excited to be working with a brand-new client. The client is a manufacturer that is dedicated to making products that save time, space, and promote security for clients all over the world. The Fort Atkinson facility has over 400 permanent employees full-time dedicated to serving their customers. They design & manufacture fully integrated storage solutions for libraries, museums, cannabis grows, police departments, the military, and so many more industries. To date, they have installed over 300,000 projects in the US, Canada, and all over the world.
They are currently looking to add two positions to their Engineering team; the Product Engineer and the Application Sales Engineer. Some specific details of each role are included below;
Responsibilities:
Product Engineer:
Responsible for all design engineering aspects of developing, improving, and supporting assigned product lines.
Supporting quality improvements
Providing new product designs
Supporting engineering aspects of existing product lines.
Additional Duties as assigned
Application Sales Engineer:
Provide technical support on the application of all assigned product lines
Determine feasibility and calculate mechanical design parameters for ETO products
Responsible for cost estimating of ETO product to meet customer requirements
Work with Manufacturing and Product Engineering during estimating phase to ensure Design for Manufacturability of ETO products
Travel to customer sites ? 10%
Additional duties as assigned
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Skills:
Ability to navigate ERP systems to lookup product information and determine product structures (bill of materials) and manufacturing routes
A working knowledge of design and manufacturing methods of sheet metal fabrications, stampings, weldments, assemblies, and precision machined components.
Education:
Associate
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2-3 years? experience in Engineering or an Associate's degree in Mechanical Design Technology and 7-10 years of experience.
3D Modeling experience (Pro-engineering experience is preferred).
Experience evaluating complex products and transitioning Product Development Engineering Bills of Materials (BOM) into Manufacturing Bills of Materials is required.
